Problem

During the initial analysis, there were two major challenges that became clear. I found that visitors who converted had received pages that loaded two times as fast as the visitors who did not convert. This showed a few extra seconds can have a huge impact on usability to engage visitors and more likely to make a sale. At the time, each brand landing page had its own separate css file, and if you want faster load times, making your CSS files optimized is a good idea. Then, working in fashion, you need to be quick at identifying the top items and how fast they are selling and subsequently update the website and refresh the content.

Solution

My idea was to create a magazine spread story layout by adding some quick street-style snapshots that would be of inspiration and talk directly to the users to make them connect with the brands. This kind of modular layout would give flexibility to brands that don’t have a lot of products. I also saw an opportunity to develop the structure so that the code would be cleaned up and optimized to make it easy for anyone to update the page. This enables the company to have a cohesive site that works with all their brands and seasons while making it easy to update with new products.
