Clover

Clover was developed as a dating app to enable users to meet new people. Competing with other services like Bumble, Tinder, Hinge and others, my focus was on creating ads, to drive user acquisition and differentiate the company from competitors in a positive way.

I designed image-based motion graphics for web and mobile by working in conjunction with marketing and user acquisition departments to analyse data to make decisions.

We utilized Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, YouTube Snapchat to grow Clover’s user base and improve these results.

Solution

I first analyzed their current ad engagement and which platforms they were using for ads, through research we identified the group that responded well to the ads, those between the ages of 19-42 with a focus on males. Additionally, I analyzed which ads performed well in the past and why, by looking at the variants. I then checked ads that competitors were currently running. We created many different ads and tested them to see which were performing best, and replaced poor performing ads with new ones based on data-driven insights.
